AFGROW Training Class - May 8-10, 2012

Course Description: The 3-day class will familiarize students with the design and operation of the AFGROW crack growth life analysis program. This will include a review of Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) concepts, example problems, and new AFGROW capabilities including: an advanced solution for continuing damage (corner & through crack at a notch), compression and tension spectrum filtering, independent compression and tension K-Solution filtering. The class will also provide an introduction to the use of advanced features unique to AFGROW (COM automation, Advanced Multiple Crack Solutions, and Plug-In K-Solutions).
We are including a section on additional tips and tricks to help users model some practical complex geometries (i.e.: continuing damage scenarios). A certificate of completion will be issued to participants upon completion of the training.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations before April 1, 2012 will receive a 50% refund or full credit toward a class held in 2012-2013. Cancellations after April 1, 2012 may only receive full credit for a class held in 2012-2013.
Lodging: A block of rooms is available at a corporate rate of $119.00 until April 20. The rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. Homewood Suites provides a complimentary hot breakfast every morning and an evening Manager's Reception with a complimentary light meal and beverages every Monday-Thursday (subject to state and local laws).
Local Attractions: The U.S. Air Force museum is within 5 minutes driving distance of the class location. A number of restaurants, hotels, and shopping opportunities are also within a 5 minute drive.
